Quote by Siddhartha Gautama: “Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by lo...”
Hatred - Meaning of hatred
If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the carriage. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him. He mourns and suffers when he sees the evil of his own work. He delights and rejoices, when he sees the purity of his own work. He suffers when he thinks of the evil he has done; he suffers more when going on the evil path. He is happy when he thinks of the good he has done; he is still more happy when going on the good path.

The first step in truly finding love is recognizing you need to love yourself. When you do that, you create a strong foundation for a lasting bond with someone and open yourself to the possibility of being fully present for them. When you truly love yourself, you see the reflection of that love within someone else. According to eastern philosophy, when you do that you set yourself up for eventual disappointment. This is because everything is fleeting; emotional happiness comes and goes like the wind. But real happiness comes from a state of being.
