Lips of an Angel by Brieanna Hernandez
Lips of an Angel
Play "Lips of an Angel" on Amazon Music. I think this song is about a guy and a girl who use to date. And for whatever reason they broke up and tried to go their own separate ways. Thinking it was the right thing to do at the time, they are now both having second thoughts. Despite the fact that they are both now involved in new semi-serious relationships. He never wants to completely let her leave from his life, but she makes it so hard to stay faithful to the girl he is with now. This song is about a struggle of being morally right going with what your heart is telling you and doing what is right and acceptable to the rest of the world doing what your brain says to do.
Hinder has come a long way in a relatively short time. The band formed in and subsequently built a large following in Oklahoma. By March Hinder had offers from three labels, and ultimately signed with Universal Records. Before joining Hinder, Winkler was singing in a cover band in Oklahoma City. Then I met Cody Hanson at a house party, and we decided to form a new band. Our first practice is something I will always remember. It was the first time I had heard these songs I was writing played by a full band.
Hinder singer Austin Winkler wrote this song in just 20 or 30 minutes with drummer Cody Hanson while the two sat in Hanson's living room. The story in the song about having trouble letting go of a former love is real - it's what Winkler was going through with an ex-girlfriend.
