Daily Readings from Your Best Life Now: 90 Devotions for Living at Your Full Potential by Joel OsteenWhen I first saw this book, I thought it would be a devotional book with inspirational stories from regular everyday people. Boy, was I wrong!!!!. Its actually a devotional self help book. When I started reading this, I was so sure that I would find it boring. Again, boy was I wrong!!! I actually loved it!!! Its a 90 day devotional book. You are suppose to read one devotional and think about it. Every devotional is different, uplifting and powerful. I seriously recommend this book. Read it daily and try to apply it to your life and see how different you will be!!! I could not put it down so I read it like a regular book but I did think about every entry every day.
When Your Life Changes … and the Change Isn’t Easy
Change is hard. I recently moved from one house to another. We downsized. Moving is already stressful. Downsizing takes that stress over the top. The important papers from my desk in the old house are still buried in a box somewhere.
I reached a milestone birthday. I began working full-time after being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years. I got divorced. I became a single parent and provider. I turned into an empty nester as I sent my youngest off to college. Instead of allowing our minds to wish things were like they used to be or feeling discouraged or upset over a hard season of life, we can place our trust in Him and live with peace and joy, not stress and distress. When we look back to see how He has been faithful and trustworthy in the past, which delights us, we can better trust He will be faithful now and in the future, too.

TRUST GOD FIRST - One of The Most Inspiring Videos Ever (very powerful!)
I seem to remember in my younger days how slowly time would pass, and how seemingly nothing ever changed, at least not very quickly. Now as I am considerably older, I sense time moving more quickly and change becoming almost a daily occurrence. Our bodies certainly change! While change can be traumatic and devastating in some cases, with lives pulled apart and destroyed, change can be a wonderful event pointing toward a bright and promising future. Change can be a lifesaver. Change can create a new person. Change can bring in new ideas, different and better ways of living and doing things.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. You may be comfortable where you are, you may not even realize that you are complacent in your walk. However, in order to grow you may need to change—this is the only way you move forward. John NIV says, The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome. God changes things for your benefit.
