The 5th Wave is a story of the Earth undergoing an alien apocalypse. It follows the story of a girl called Cassie who is one of the few survivors of the human race. The first wave got rid of all power and light, so planes fell out of the sky and cars stopped working. The third wave is a plague so horrible that you cry blood and when you die, blood explodes out of your nose, eyes, ears and mouth. Cassie is sixteen years old and lost her mother to the third wave, her father to the fourth and her brother is kidnapped during the fifth. Who may be the answer to her problems and the hero of her story. Only time will tell.

The first 4 waves were okay but the 5th wave I seriously didn't expect it at all. And the ending was perfect. Actually one of the best book endings of all time. I can't describe how much I enjoyed this book.
Filming took place in Atlanta, Georgia from October to January Ohio high-schooler Cassie Sullivan , armed with an M4 carbine , emerges from the woods to raid an abandoned gas station. Upon entering, she hears a male voice calling for help. She finds a wounded man, who points a gun at her, but they ask each put their weapons down. His other hand is under his jacket and as he takes it out, she sees a glint of metal and kills him thinking he was holding a gun, but he was holding a Christian cross and the screen cuts to black to show her backstory.
