My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: Sunset Shimmers Time to Shine by Perdita FinnObviously, Im not the main audience for this chapter book, but this was not nearly as enjoyable as the other My Little Pony books Ive read. My advice is to stick with the comic collections (although the other chapter book Ive read, Discord and the Ponyville Players, wasnt so bad).
My complaints about this book are as follows:
1. The premise is absurd and full of scientific mumbo jumbo: There is a mechanism to the magic that I am trying to unlock and reveal so that, if we need to, we can adjust the control settings and create an enhanced pony-up experience. This means that Sunset Shimmer -- a top student of magic and spell-making in Equestria -- is busy doing ridiculous things like measuring the size and shape of cracked eggs, creating an app to find invisible colors, etc.
2. The writing was sloppy, for example kittens and PUPPIES MEOWING softly (!!!). The ending also made Twilight Sparkles reply sound ominous.
3. The characters didnt act like themselves. For example, Sunset Shimmer came off like a drama queen, and it only took a little performance monitoring to turn Rainbow Dash into a clutz.
4. It had no illustrations (whereas Discord and the Pony Players at least had simple illustrations).

Ownership and other real rights over property are acquired and transmitted by law, by donation, by estate and intestate succession, and in consequence of certain contracts, by tradition. They may also be acquired by means of prescription. The ownership of a piece of land cannot be acquired by occupation. The right to hunt and to fish is regulated by special laws. The owner of a swarm of bees shall have a right to pursue them to another's land, indemnifying the possessor of the latter for the damage. If the owner has not pursued the swarm, or ceases to do so within two consecutive days, the possessor of the land may occupy or retain the same. The owner of domesticated animals may also claim them within twenty days to be counted from their occupation by another person.
The rules were introduced in his short story " Runaround " included in the collection I, Robot , although they had been foreshadowed in a few earlier stories. These form an organizing principle and unifying theme for Asimov's robotic -based fiction, appearing in his Robot series , the stories linked to it, and his Lucky Starr series of young-adult fiction. The Laws are incorporated into almost all of the positronic robots appearing in his fiction, and cannot be bypassed, being intended as a safety feature. Many of Asimov's robot-focused stories involve robots behaving in unusual and counter-intuitive ways as an unintended consequence of how the robot applies the Three Laws to the situation in which it finds itself. Other authors working in Asimov's fictional universe have adopted them and references, often parodic , appear throughout science fiction as well as in other genres. The original laws have been altered and elaborated on by Asimov and other authors. Asimov himself made slight modifications to the first three in various books and short stories to further develop how robots would interact with humans and each other.
