Verse 18 says, "But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works. But where is it? You should be quiet. You have faith, but I have works. This is not what a Christian would say. He says, "You have faith, and I have works. I have provided someone a meal today.
Good morning. If you have your Bibles, go ahead and grab those. This weekend is Epiphany Sunday. What that means is that Christians on this Sunday throughout church history have celebrated the fact that Jesus is not just some good teacher, not another prophet, not just some moral philosopher, but he is God in the flesh, the second person of the Trinity, and has shown himself to us, manifested, condescended from heaven and has gotten into the muck and mire with us. Jesus is in the mud and the blood and the brokenness.
